Discovery Station

I helped the Discovery Station create their first bilingual exhibit, Little Sprouts Grocery, providing a premiere educational experience for hundreds of local children.

 My Story | mi historia

Being raised in both the Bronx and Puerto Rico, I understand the impact of language. Interpreters build community through the power of language. When I visited Hagerstown, Maryland, I discovered an incredibly welcoming community, and decided to make it my home thanks to my gracious host family. I’m an English Language educator in the local school system, and while I love my students, I see my future in translation services, so I can open a broader connection with our communities in Maryland. With any spare time, I run a health coaching business, spend time with my lovely children, and volunteer with local organizations such as Girls on the Run.

Los intérpretes construyen una comunidad a través del poder del lenguaje, y al haberme criado tanto en el Bronx como en Puerto Rico, entiendo el impacto del lenguaje. Cuando visité Hagerstown, Maryland, descubrí una comunidad increíblemente acogedora y decidí convertirla en mi hogar gracias a mi amable familia anfitriona. Soy un educador del idioma inglés en el sistema escolar local y, aunque amo a mis estudiantes, veo mi futuro en los servicios de traducción, por lo que puedo abrir una conexión más amplia con nuestras comunidades en Maryland. Con el tiempo libre, dirijo un negocio de asesoría en salud, paso tiempo con mis adorables hijos y soy voluntaria en organizaciones locales como Girls on the Run.
